Alaska State Worthy President Duane Ogden presented an $8,000 check to Cheryl Tachik, President of Way Out Women (WOW) at a fundraiser held January 25th at Kenai Aerie #3525, where Duane is also local Worthy President.  Duane’s State Charity is WOW, an organization whose proceeds go to local (Kenai Peninsula) cancer patients to ease the burden while they fight their battle.  Way Out Women is open to the public, and it’s not just for women.  Men and children are also welcome.  Duane is a cancer survivor, and has raised more than $16,000 for his State Charity so far.

Anchorage Eagles #4207 donated $1,500 and several bulk items to the city’s Downtown Hope Center to benefit those in need. Items donated included laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, diapers, bladder control pads, bras, underwear, reading glasses, book lights and more.

Anchorage Auxiliary #4207 recently donated $1,500 to the Downtown Soup Kitchen Hope Center along with $1,500 in bulk laundry and shower supplies.
